PROLIFIC MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER
Hero5 Black Camera | GOPRO
June 2014 - December 2014
I was on a team of 3 engineers at Alloy Product Development working with GoPro's advanced products group. We worked on the early phases of this project. Our goals were to make the camera substantially smaller and waterproof to 10 meters without the need for a dive housing accessory. Alloy was involved in the general architecture layout and owned the detail design for both the I/O and battery doors. Although direct design responsibility was shared among team members, I was responsible for developing a robust master model scheme for this project, which allowed all three engineers to efficiently work on this tightly packaged consumer electronic. During the height of this project, the team delivered 3-5 unique concepts, architectures, and/or combinations a week.
